Are you ready to discover the city during the best period of the year?
ENG: During St Patrick’s days Dublin is literally stormed! Hundred of people are pouring into the streets to take part to the biggest celebration of Ireland: the parade is the heart beating of all of this, then it’s time to drink some beer in the most famous Dublin’s district, Temple Bar! But what are the things you absolutely need to do during these days?

ENG: TAKE PART IN THE ST PATRICK’S PARADE!
The 17th of march is the day of St Patrick’s parade. Extras dressed up, musicians playing, athletes, decorated carts, drums and, above all, a lot of enthusiasm! Even who isn’t actively involved wants to be part of the event: so here’s crazy make-ups, weird clothing and themed funny hats. Every year a different theme is chosen, in collaboration with the irish schools. It could be a sentence, a thought or a narrative guiding the celebrations.

Uova strapazzate o in camicia.
ENG: HAVE A RICH IRISH BREAKFAST!
If you’re planning on drinking a few beers you probably want to start it off and prepare your body with good foundation food!
The typical irish breakfast is extremely rich and caloric… the essential ingredient? Eggs, scrambled or benedict.
•••••••••••••••
ITA: VAI DA MOLLY!
Molly Malone è considerata l’icona della città, amatissima dagli abitanti (“In Dublin’s fair city, Where the girls are so pretty, I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone”, l’inno non ufficiale) .
ENG: GO VISIT MOLLY!
Molly Malone is considered to be the icon of the city, extremely loved by dubliners (“In Dublin’s fair city, Where the girls are so pretty, I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone”, the unofficial hymn) . Going at the statue of the most famous fish vendor and touching her ample bosom it’s a real ritual and you can’t give up on it!
•••••••••••••••
ENG: VISIT THE GUINNESS STOREHOUSE!
The former factory of the super famous beer has been turned into a great interactive museum, that will lead you to the discover of a lot of curiosities about the making of one of the most beloved beverages.
If you go up at the last floor you will find the Gravity bar, from where it’s possible to enjoy the beautiful skyline of Dublin… with a pint in your hands, of course!
•••••••••••••••
ENG: TAKE PART INTO AN IRISH NIGHT!
Immerse yourself completely into the gorgeous culture of this country taking part into some dancing night, just forget the rest and get out there… even if you don’t know the steps!
I recommend you the guys of “The irish Folk Experience”that teached us how to play the traditional drum, called bohdran, listening to popular folk songs.

ENG: GET LOST!
The best way to explore and live a city is to walk, discovering the most hidden corners. Let yourself be guided from the crowd of people and walk with laughs, voices and loud chatterings in the background.
You will probably end up somewhere unexpected…and you would probably love it! Isn’it extremely seducing?

April 24, 2019That’s so interesting. St. Patrick’s Day in America is treated as any other day, but that must be really cool, fun, and exciting to be celebrating it in Dublin. I can imagine that it must be a huge celebration. I would like to experience that myself one day.

April 24, 2019How fun to get to be in Dublin for St Patricks Day! I bet it was a blast. Irish people are really fun. The holiday is big in NY too but annoying as it is a lot of frat boys (and girls) being really drunk and bothersome.
My nephew lived in Ireland for a summer and went to the Guinness museum he loved it!
