Consigli tattici per godersi al meglio Valencia

Valencia è una città giovane, movimentata , molto bella da vedere ma soprattutto da vivere… la mia esperienza è stata assolutamente positiva tra una passeggiata in riva al mare, accarezzati dalla brezza, e un assaggio della tipica e squisita Paella, nelle vicinanze del Mercato Centrale. Qui di seguito i miei personali suggerimenti su dove alloggiare, dove mangiare e come muoversi.

Tactical advices to enjoy Valencia at the best

Valencia is a young, lively, very beautiful city to see but mostly to live… my experience has been absolutely positive between a walk by the sea, brushed by the sea breeze, and a taste of the typical and delicious Paella, near the Central Market. Here my personal tips on where to sleep, where to eat and how to move.

DORMIRE – SLEEP

ILUNION HOTEL

Per il nostro soggiorno in città abbiamo scelto l’Hotel Ilunion. Posizionato nella zona a mio parere più bella della città, la città delle scienze e delle arti, la struttura riflette il fascino del quartiere in cui si trova, caratterizzandosi come un edificio moderno e imponente, collocato all’interno di un centro commerciale a cielo aperto, dove, tra una scala mobile e l’altra, potete fare shopping da Zara ed H&M, rilassarvi con un caffè in uno dei numerosi bar, o cenare in una delle catene presenti all’interno

For our stay we’ve chosen Ilunion Hotel. Positioned in the one I consider the most beautiful area of the city, the city of sciences and arts, the structure reflects the charm of the district, a modern and big building, inside an open air shopping center, where, between an escalator and the other one, you can shopping at Zara and H&M, relax for a coffee, or having dinner in one of the many restaurants.

MANGIARE – EAT

LA PASCUALA

Uno dei posti più assurdi in cui abbia mai mangiato. Non ci si arriva per caso, bisogna volerlo e soprattutto cercarlo. A due passi dalla spiaggia, Playa La Malvarrosa, si tratta di un locale decisamente rustico e casereccio, affollato e dove gli schiamazzi regnano sovrani, così come il viavai delle cameriere. Non temete, i panini giganti che vi verranno serviti ripagheranno l’attesa ad un prezzo esageratamente piccolo.

TOMMY MEL’S

Dopo aver pranzato alla Pascuala è d’obbligo una merenda da Tommy Mel’s, locale in pieno stile americano anni ’50. Vi innamorerete a prima vista degli eleganti divanetti verde acqua e del tipico pavimento a scacchi, condito dalla musica del juke box e dalle divise dei camerieri, che sembrano usciti da Grease… tutto questo mentre sorseggiate un delicato frappè o vi gustate un bel waffle

After having lunch at La Pascuala a snack at Tommy Mel’s, 50’s style american inspired pub, it’s a must. You will fall in love at first sight with the elegant mint green sofas and with the typical chess floor, surrounded by the music of a juke box and by the uniforms of the waiters, which seems they come from Grease… everything while you sip a soft milkshake or eat a good waffle.

TORA

Per quanto riguarda la cena consigliatissimo Tora, una piccola taverna giapponese dove potrete gustare delle prelibatezze nipponiche a dei prezzi veramente convenienti in un’atmosfera rilassata e divertente, coccolati dalla cortesia di uno staff impeccabile e un proprietario simpaticissimo

As for the dinner I recommend you Tora, a little japanese tavern where you can try a lot of delicacies at quite convenient prices in a relaxed and funny atmosphere, pampered by the courtesy of an impeccable staff and a very very nice owner.

MUOVERSI – MOVE

La città è molto grande e i mezzi di trasporto sono abbastanza efficienti, dalla metropolitana, che copre più o meno tutte le aree, ai bus che però, secondo la mia esperienza, non sono frequentissimi. Noi abbiamo sfruttato entrambe le reti, aggiungendo poi lunghi tragitti panoramici a piedi. Ricordatevi poi di fare la Valencia Tourist Card, una tessera che offre trasporti pubblici urbani, ingresso a musei e monumenti, sconti in esercizi commerciali.

The city is big and the transports are efficient enough, from the subway, covering more or less all the areas, to the bus that, according to my experience, are not so frequent. We used both, adding then long panoramic walks. Remember to ask for the Valencia Tourist Card, which offers public urban transports, museums and monuments entrance, discounts in selected shops.
