ITA: Il Marocco è da tempo nella mia lista dei desideri, potete quindi immaginare quanto sia stata felice di avere l’opportunità di un viaggio qui. Mete designate Casablanca ed El Jadida. Ma andiamo con ordine!
Casablanca è facilmente raggiungibile da 7 aeroporti in tutta Italia, noi siamo partiti da Orio al Serio (Bergamo), volando con Air Arabia che ci ha riservato un trattamento fantastico, sia in aeroporto, facendoci usufruire di Lounge e Fast Track, sia a bordo… una continua coccola.
Il tempo di volo è di tre ore circa, è trascorso davvero velocemente, tra un film su Netflix e uno snack 🙂

ENG: Morocco has been into my bucket list for a long time, you can imagine how happy I was when I found out I had the opportunity to travel there. Chosen destinations Casablanca and El Jadida. But first things firts!
Casablanca is easily reachable from 7 airports in Italy, we left from Orio al Serio (Bergamo), flying with Air Arabia that treated us in a special way, both at the airport, making us use the Lounge and also the Fast track, both onboard… a contnuous cuddle.
The duration of the flight is more or less three hours, it passed  very quickly, with a movie on Netflix and some snacks 🙂

 

ITA: La Moschea di Hassan II è senza dubbio l’attrazione principale della città e dopo averla vista posso garantirvi che vale tutto il viaggio. Si tratta della moschea più grande del Marocco e la terza a livello mondiale, pensate che tutta la struttura può ospitare 105.000 persone.
Costruita a ridosso dell’Oceano qui si respirano un’atmosfera e una magia davvero uniche, la parte esterna è sensazionale ed imponente, con i suoi portoni che pesano quasi 30 tonnellate, i mosaici dai colori vibranti, gli archi e le geometrie perfette.
L’interno non è da meno, vi consiglio di unirvi ad un tour o di prendere una guida, così che possiate accedere alle diverse sale… quello che vedrete vi meraviglierà.

ENG: The Hassan II Mosque is, without any doubt, the most important attraction of the city, I can ensure you that is worth the entire trip. It’s the biggest mosque of Morocco and also the third of all the world, the whole building and the square can welcome 105.000 people.
It’s built right across the Ocean and here you can breathe a magic atmosphere which is quite unique. The outside is sensational and impressive, with the big doors that are actually weighing almost 30 tons, the mosaic in vibrant colors, the arches and the perfect geometries.
The inside it’s not to be outdone , I totally recommend to join a tour or follow a professional  tourist guide, so that you can have access to the different rooms… what you will see wil just blow your mind.

 

ITA: Anche se il Palazzo Reale di Casablanca è chiuso alle visite, la casa del re del Marocco Mohammed VI, della moglie, della principessa Lalla Salma e dei suoi due fratelli, merita una visita anche dall’esterno. Costruito secondo i canoni di bellezza e di eleganza dell’architettura marocchina è un vero e proprio capolavoro dell’architettura islamica.
Il complesso si trova nella Ville Nouvelle vicino alla zona del porto, circondato da pittoreschi giardini mediterranei ricchi di aranceti e giochi d’acqua elaborati… una meraviglia per gli occhi.

ENG: Even if the Royal Palace of Casablanca is closed to visitors, the house of the king of Morocco Mohammed VI, of her wife, the Lalla Salma princess and of her two brothers, deserves a visit also from the outside. Built according to the moroccan architecture image of beauty and elegance this place is a real masterpiece of islamic architecture.
The compound is located in the Ville Nouvelle, near the harbour, surrounded by beautiful gardens with orange groves and watergames… something beautiful for your eyes.

 

ITA: Ci spostiamo adesso nel quartiere Habous. Situato nel cuore della città  qui  si respira un’atmosfera di contraddizioni, di tradizioni, di innovazioni. Maestri artigiani e abili sarti mettono in vendita le proprie creazioni, manufatti ed indumenti della tradizione; e poi i numerosi cafè, le biblioteche con gli antichi manoscritti, prime edizioni risalenti all’inizio del secolo scorso… distinguere il passato dal futuro è davvero difficile ad Habous. Qui sono presenti tutti gli elementi urbani caratteristici della vita sociale musulmana e camminare lungo le sue meravigliose strade si converte in un’esperienza davvero gradevole ed interessante.
Un posto che non potete perdervi è la pasticceria più antica della città “Bennis”. Qui la vera ricchezza è la storia e la varietà assoluta di dolci: mandorla, sesamo e cocco (per  10 euro al chilo).

ENG: We are now moving into the Habous district. Right in the heart of the city here you can breathe an atmosphere full of contradictions, traditions, innovations. Master craftsmen and skilled tailors are selling their own creations,  traditional artifacts and clothes; then the several coffee shops, the libraries with ancient manuscripts, first editions dating back to the beginning of the last century… telling the past from the future is really difficult in Habous. There are all the typical urban elements of the muslim social life, walking through the beautiful streets is a pleasant and interesting experience.
a place you can not miss is the oldest pastry house of the city, “Bennis”. The real wealth here is history, and the variety of pastries: almond, sesame and coconut (10 euros per kilos).
