Ripercorriamo insieme le tappe fondamentali del mio viaggio

Le Isole Faroe hanno delle particolarità e delle caratteristiche molto spiccate, nonappena siamo arrivati, per esempio, ci siamo dovuti confrontare con la diversità dei supermercati locali rispetto ai nostri. Tutto è organizzato in maniera diversa, anche i prodotti ovviamente lo sono… è stato divertente aggirarsi curiosi tra gli scaffali alla ricerca delle cose più bizzarre.

Let’s recall together the main steps of my travel

Faroe Islands have some quite strong features, as soon as we arrived, for example, we had to face the reality of supermarkets, which are different from ours. Everything is organized in a completely different way, even the products are not the same… it was fun to  wander between the shelves looking for the strangest stuff.

Una delle cose più belle di questi posti è, secondo me, noleggiare una macchina e godersi le meravigliose strade. Le vie si alternano, da quelle dritte fino all’infinito, agli scorci intricati e tortuosi che solcano  la montagna come dei curvilinei disegni. Lungo il tragitto ci sono moltissimi punti panoramici per fermarsi e scattare delle meravigliose foto… ed in effetti le abbiamo sfruttate quasi tutte, dato che ci  siamo fermati ogni 10 minuti 😛

On of the most beautiful thing of these places is, in my opinion, to rent a car and enjoy the beautiful streets. The roads are alternating, from the straight ones to the tangled and  curvy  glimpses, cutting through the mountain like drawings. All along the way there are a lot of viewpoints, to stop and shoot some pictures… we used almost all of them, we stopped each 10 minutes 😛

Le Faroe sono il posto perfetto per camminare e dedicarsi alle escursioni. Una di quelle che noi abbiamo scelto è quella di Saksun, alla ricerca della casetta più fotografata dagli Instagrammer. Bisogna scarpinare un pochino e non è stato facile individuarla, ma alla fine ne è davvero valsa la pena.

Faroe are the perfect place to walk and hike. One of the excursions we chose is the Saksun one, looking for the most photographed house by Instagrammers. You need to footslog a little bit and it wasn’t easy to find it, but in the end it was worthy.

In questo video live potete invece ammirare la mia  stanchezza durante le scalata alla montagna più alta delle isole. E’ stata un’escursione davvero complicata, che di certo richiede una preparazione atletica e fisica non indifferente, oltre che al giusto abbigliamento, termico, e soprattutto alle giuste scarpe, rigorosamente da trekking!

In this live video you can see how I was tired while climbing the highest mountain of the islands. It was quite hard, you need to be prepared to face it, and of course you need the right clothes, thermal, and the right shoes, trekking ones!

Camminando in giro per il villaggio di Gjogv vi mostro un pò i dintorni, si tratta del tipico paesino nordico, pieno di casettine colorate e che gode di una vista mozzafiato.

Walking for the village of Gjogv I show you the surroundings, this is the typical nordic country, full of colored houses with a breathtaking view.

Il lago di Sorvagsvatn è uno di quei posti in cui  davvero potete sentirvi in pace con voi stessi. La montagna si getta a strapiombo, il panorama è incredibile, così come le bellissime cascate di Gasadalur.

Sorvagsvatn lake is one of those places where you can  be at peace with yourself. The mountain is overhanging , the view is incredible, so as the beuatiful Gasaladur waterfalls.
