48 ore a Bath? Sono sufficienti per innamorarsene.
48 hours in Bath? That’s enough to fall in love.
ENG: At a first glance, when I arrived in Bath, I thought… wow! Where am I? The entire city is a UNESCO world heritage, her elegance and the refined georgian architecture really got me, dragging myself into a past dimension, suspended in time and in space. I immediately wanted to wander around, up and down, losing myself through those lovely streets, looking for new unexplored corners.
Starting to walk we found ourselves in front of the gorgeous Pulteney Bridge. They say it has been built on the basis of Ponte Vecchio in Florence, infact, just like it, it’s one of only four bridges in the world to have shops across its full span on both sides.

ENG: The epicentre of the city is for sure the Roman Baths site, those served at the time as a grand bathing and socialising complex: these are considered one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world.
Around the structure an interactive museum has been build, here you will discover ancient customs and traditions and you also get the chance to get a real taste (literally!) of the water straight from the pump… unique way to “taste” the culture of that time!

ENG: Our time in Bath has been very pleasant also thanks to the Gainsborough Hotel that welcomed us in the best way. The level here is very high, infact is part of the Leading Hotels of the World. Everything was perfect, from the amazing suite which has been reserved for us, with pastries, champagne and strawberries waiting for us, through the great care in details, making this place wonderful to shoot… those stairs are truly incredible!
Inside the Gainsborough there’s another surprise, a beautiful SPA where it is possible to relax and take care of yourself, always with the best service. The room has been reconstructed taking inspiration from the ancient roman baths, the effect is of a time leap, but with a fresh and contemporary style.
If you ask me which was my favorite part I will probably answer the 4 minutes water massage , a unique and idylliac experience.

ENG: So, as you’ve probably understood Bath is the perfect destination for those who are looking for a couple of days to spend in total relaxation. We’ve also had the chance to visit another thermal station which is pretty famous: the Thermae Bath Spa, besides a series of numerous services there’s also the chance to enjoy the pool on the rooftop, at the last floor… an absolutely fantastic experience!

ENG: In addiction to what has been said already Bath is great to discover by feet, you’ll see, you won’t be disappointed, I personally think that’s the best way to explore it. You can also take the free walking tours of Bath as an introduction to your visit. Taken by volunteers, these walks of over two hours explain the history of Georgian Bath by taking you through the city past all the key landmarks.
Possibilities are a lot: museums, parks, monuments, bars, cofee shops, beautiful corners… time will pass before you know it and you’ll be conquered by the aristocratic beauty of this little town.
