ITA: Quando si pensa al sud-est asiatico è inevitabile immaginare isole e posti paradisiaci, spiagge bianchissime e mare cristallino, quei posti da cartolina che ci fanno sognare. Ho avuto l’opportunità di rilassarmi in un posto del genere per tre giorni… e devo ammetterlo, sono stati profondamente rigeneranti!
Oggi vi racconto il mio colpo di fulmine con Redang Island!
La prima domanda è: Come ci si arriva?
Noi, arrivando da Kuala Lumpur, abbiamo preso un volo interno per Kuala Terennganu, quindi da qui abbiamo preso il piccolo traghetto per Redang. Non preoccupatevi, è tutto ben organizzato 🙂

ENG: When you think about south-east of Asia it’s unavoidable to think about islands  and heavenly places, white beaches and crystal water, those postcard places that make us dream a bit. I had the chance to relax for three days in a place like this … I have to admit, those were deeply regenerating!
Today I tell you my whirlwind romance with Redang Island!
The first question is: how do you get there?
We were coming from Kuala Lumpur, so we took an internal flight to Kuala Terennganu, then here we took the Ferry to Redang. Don’t worry, everything is well organized 🙂

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ITA: Abbiamo alloggiato allo splendido Laguna Redang Island Resort, posizionato in una zona tranquilla e isolata, perfetto per chi cerca un pò di evasione dalla vita quotidiana.
La connessione Internet non è ottimale, è per questo che mi sono concessa tre giorni di disconnessione… un vero e proprio digital detox, che mi ha fatto apprezzare ancora di più l’isola e il suo fantastico contesto, oltre che la compagnia del mio gruppo.
Il Resort dispone di tutti i comfort ed è possibile dedicarsi a tantissime attività, perfette per trascorrere il proprio tempo a contatto con la natura.

ENG: We staied at the gorgeous Laguna Island Resort, located in a quiet and isolated area, perfect for people looking for a break from everyday life.
The internet connection is not very good, that’s why I allowed myself three days of disconnection… a real digital detox, that helped me appreciating the island and the crazy setting even more, as well as the company of my super friendly group.
The Resort has all the amenities and it’s possible to engage yourself in a lot of different activities, the best to spend your time in contact with nature.

 

 

ITA: L’isola è quasi interamente ricoperta dalla giungla, per questo è stato molto interessante fare un’escursione e scoprire qualcosa di più sulla vegetazione che compone Redang. Tra le attività proposte c’è proprio questa!
Partendo dal resort la nostra  guida ci ha condotti attraverso un sentiero, dandoci qualche utile istruzione di “sopravvivenza” : quali frutti mangiare, come creare un tetto con le foglie e tantissimi altri trucchetti .
Dopo mezz’ora circa di camminata abbiamo raggiunto un punto panoramico dall’effetto davvero WOW, si tratta dal punto più alto di queste isole… da qui si ammira un paesaggio incredibile.

ENG: The island is almost entirely covered by jungle, that’s why it was quite interesting to hike and discover something more about the  vegetation that you can find in Redang. That’s one of the activities offered by our hotel!
Leaving from the resort our guide has brought us through a path, giving us a few useful “surviving” tips : which fruits to eat, how to make a roof out of leaves and a lot more things.
After more or less 30 minutes we reached a WOW effect viewpoint, that’s the highest spot of these little islands… from here you can admire a quite amazing landscape.

 

 

 

 

ITA: Ammetto che avrei voluto restare in questo paradiso ancora un pò, tra giornate che scorrono lente, attività all’aria aperta, pranzi e cene con vista mare, mangiando pesce e respirando l’aria che sa di sale.
Mi mancheranno certamente le albe Malesi, credo di non averne mai fatte così tante di seguito. Le prime ore della mattina qui sono speciali, l’isola dorme ancora e il cielo si tinge di tinte rosate, in un’atmosfera che è romantica e un pò surreale al tempo stesso. Ti togli i sandali e poggi i piedi sulla sabbia sottile e bianchissima, poi ti siedi e aspetti, contemplando l’orizzonte.
E sapete qual è la cosa migliore? Il lusso di avere del tempo. Qui è possibile.

ENG: I admit I wish I could have staied in this paradise a little bit longer, between slow flowing days, open air activities, lunches and dinners with sea views, eating fish and breathing the air that smells like salt.
I will miss for sure the Malaysian sunrises, I thinks I’ve never did so many in a row.  The first hours of the day are special here, the island is still sleeping and the sky dyes himself in pink shades, in a romantic and a little bit surreal atmosphere. You take off your sandals and walk on the soft and white sand, then you sit down and wait, staring into distance.
Do you know what’s the best thing? The luxury of having time. That’s possible here.
